Is it my cable or new Samsung 50 "plasma that is causing intermittent adjusting brightness and light.?
Our new plasma TV has slight fluctuations in the brightness level periodically (generally, or at least more noticeable in bright scenes). I tried comparing the cable with DVD and both seem do to some degree (the cable is much more noticeable). The funny thing is on the DVD that you can rewind and see what happens in the same place all the time. When I go frame by frame, never change in brightness that seems to happen. Neither the resolution seems that any change in brightness as always (except cable). This is our second attempt at this model (there strong fan problem in the first) and sometimes I wonder if I'm being too picky when I look for everything that might be wrong with the TV. However, changes brightness can sometimes be a distraction. I have tried turning off all the characteristics of some more and keep watching the fluctuations. Any ideas? Am I being too demanding? Is this normal?
It seems that the card isn't maintaing power lines. Not sure. If I were you, Id return it for a unit higher quality. Samsung has a lot of problems with its LCD and DLP units. Get a Sony LCD XBR 1080. Trust me, you'll like it. Or, if you go to the plasma deal Pioneer Elite plasma.
