How do I change the screen resolution on a Sharp Aquos LC37D43U to work with Xbox 360?
I can not seem to find on TV or in the Xbox 360 in the right place where I can change the resolution. The Xbox is currently playing in 480p (I saw the number on the screen flash once), but the TV is 720p/1080i compatible. How can I change the resolution so you can get the games in HD? As a benchmark, I have the HDMI connector (not compatible my xbox 360, and all cables are properly connected components). I am also using the Xbox 360 as my DVD player, so I guess that the resolution to improve the quality of those as well. Also, my standard analog cable (no digital or HD box) is producing a poor image on the TV. Should this to the decision or simply due to poor signal? Can anything be done to make it clearer (besides the obvious of buying a Thanksgiving)? Digital or box HD for your help.
First, you do not have to change anything on your TV. You have to do it from your Xbox 360 Dashboard. First, go to the last blade, "" labeled, System. From there, go to Console Settings. Then go to show, and then just change the resolution of 1080i. Remember that you you must move the switch on the component cable TV to HDTV. As for the poor image quality, if you have cable or satellite, then the problem is due to the poor signal. If you have cable or satellite then I suggest that control of the resolution setting on your TV or simply getting a better analog cables (I used to have the same problem, so I bought better quality analog cables).
